Metta Meditation Fall Series Begins

Wednesday September 13, 6:30pm - 7:45pm

5-week series, Practicing Metta meditation improves a person’s mind state and has lasting and profound emotional, physical, and spiritual benefits. Through scientific research, Metta meditation, or loving-kindness, has been shown to decrease migraines, chronic pain, and symptoms of depression and PTSD. It increases compassion and feelings of empathy, as well as decreases criticism of self and others. It can even positively affect the aging process and makes you more resilient to stress.

Our exploration will focus on developing and deepening experience with the facets of Loving-Kindness, including: Optimism, not feeling inconvenienced, non-violence, being unafraid, being relaxed, gentleness, friendliness, forgiveness

Each session of this series includes a guided loving-kindness meditation, a short discussion of one of the elements of loving-kindness, and an opportunity to ask questions. Handouts will be provided.

Please register online or call Joyful Path to express interest. Scholarships and work-trade are available. Priority is given to those signed up for the series, but if you want to drop-in we will accommodate you if space is available.
