The Conscious End-of-Life Training Program offers a dynamic, fresh approach to end-of-life care under the direction of Domo Geshe Rinpoche, a western reincarnate lama in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Although key elements of the teachings are based on ancient Buddhist principles, this unique program is open to all individuals —regardless of their personal spiritual orientation. This training includes lectures and discussion on key concepts and principles necessary for effective care-giving; experiential on-site exercises and take-home assignments that help develop deeper self-awareness and personal growth; and monthly facilitated group meetings (available through conference calls) for support through sharing of experiences, reflections and thoughts.

Wednesday Meditations on summer vacation
We're taking a break this summer while we develop a new Loving-Kindness meditation series to begin in the fall. See below for dates, and stay tuned for more information!
Uncommon Happiness Book Club
Mondays ･ 7:00-8:15pm
Join us in June before we take a break in July! Pema and friends discuss the wisdom from their current book, No Time to Lose by Pema Chodron. This book illuminates one of the most well-known teachings on fearless compassion - Shantideva's Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life. Join us for discussions on bodhicitta, the nature of deep compassion, and action in daily life. An optional meditation is held at 6:30. For more information or to join, contact Pema at email@example.com.
Conscious Compassionate Communication group
2nd & 4th Tuesdays ･ 7:00-8:30pm
Based on non-violent communication, Conscious Communication is the intention to connect with ourselves and others by focusing on the needs underneath our strategies for meeting them. By practicing a simple, generic, complete and doable skill set outlined by Dr. Rosenberg, we can learn to translate and transform every word we hear into a life-giving opportunity to connect with what we most want. This is a rich and nuanced practice and is an integral part of Buddhist ethics as an aspect of the noble eightfold path (right speech). Learn the basics of conscious communication, and be part of a group that will spend much of its time practicing these skills, so they become second nature. Led by Mary Kay Reineman. A donation is requested to cover our facilitator's basic expenses.
Green Light meditation nights
3rd Fridays ･ 8:00-9:00pm
The 3rd Friday of the month the local White Conch community gathers to do a 30 to 40-minute Green Wisdom Light meditation, and you're invited to join us. In this meditation, after generating compassion and a connection with a deeper place within oneself, one visualizes being immersed in a special green light - a light which comes from a deep place and has profound healing qualities. Many people who come to this for the first time experience a wave of peacefulness and a fresh, heart-centered aliveness. Chonyi or Dorje lead the practice, with time for discussion and questions afterwards.
