Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils to treat emotional disorders such as stress and anxiety as well as a wide range of other ailments. Essential oils are either inhaled, absorbed directly through the skin or in some cases ingested. Massage since oils can be used to carry fragrances while also allowing more pressure to be applied to muscles. Aromatherapy can be used to support treatment for respiratory problems, skin disorders and immune deficiencies. Many essential oils from botanical sources also have anti-viral and anti-fungal properties.

Autogenic Training

Autogenic training is a little-known relaxation technique that’s effective for a variety of stress-related conditions. AT engages mind and body in deep relaxation, reversing the stress response. The resulting altered state of consciousness allows spontaneous, often subtle, psychological and physiological changes – known as the autogenic process, which is a unique self-balancing experience for each person.  Autogenic Training is a safe, simple drug-free technique to help you: (1) reduce or manage recurring stress-related symptoms e.g. sleep problems, anxiety, mild depression, fatigue, asthma, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), high blood pressure, chronic pain, (2)  increase your general confidence and well-being, (3) increase your energy and creativity, (3) improve your performance in sport, music, theatre, classroom, boardroom, (4) reduce the likelihood of serious illness in the future, and (5) naturally support your innate healing mechanisms.

Healing Touch

Healing Touch incorporates a variety of energy-based techniques to assess and treat the human energy system. Developed by Janet Mentgen, it is practiced by registered nurses and others to accelerate wound healing, relieve pain, promote relaxation, prevent illness, and ease the dying process. The practitioner uses light touch or places his or her hands near the client’s body in an effort to restore balance to the client’s system.

Ion Cleansing

This is a technique of body detoxification, cleansing and balancing. The client’s feet or hands are immersed in an electrically conductive water bath where metal electrodes connected to a direct current power source create negative ions, which are absorbed into the body by osmosis. Using this system, cells are energized by the ions to release oils, acids, heavy metals, fats, cellular debris, and other toxins which have accumulated in body tissues and joints over a lifetime. Used properly, the Ion Cleanse provides a comfortable and relaxing way to rid the body of toxins.

Mantra

Mantra (also known as Mantram ) is a devotional phrase that is repeated over and over to reach higher mental and spiritual states. Every mantra has an audible sound, creating sound waves of a specific resonance. When supplemented with a sincere belief and spiritual attitude, mantras are very effective in assisting healing from a profound place within.

Reiki

Reiki is a powerful healing energy whose name literally means “Universal Life Force Energy.” It is sent down through the client via the practitioner’s hands in order to help facilitate their own healing. A session can last anywhere from a half hour to an hour and an half, with most sessions lasting an hour. There are numerous benefits to Reiki covering everything from your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. It can be used to help address many illnesses such as depression, pain, anxiety, fatigue or feelings of helplessness in addition to many others.

Thai Yoga

Traditional Thai Yoga Massage is a therapeutic technique of bodywork that was developed over 2,500 years ago by Jivaka Komarabhacca, a friend and physician to the Buddha and renowned as a healer in Buddhist tradition.  Thai Yoga Massage stimulates and balances the flow of healing energy within the body, opening the areas which are blocked bringing the receiver deeper into balance for health and wellbeing. This system creates a powerful release of stress and tension, and an increase in vitality as it deepens the connection between mind, body and spirit in both the giver and receiver. A Thai Yoga Massage session   is conducted on a thick cushion on the floor, and the client remains fully clothed in loose pants and a comfortable shirt, allowing for ease of movement and flexibility.
